What’s New

Welcome to our new website! Bee Cave Public Library is proud to have been selected to participate in the 2007 Accessibility Internet Rally for Austin (AIR Austin). Teams of designers and developers were matched with area non-profits to create well-designed websites accessible to people with disabilities. Thank you to Team Refresh Austin for giving our website an “extreme makeover” and making it user-friendly and accessible to everyone. See a list of our talented web designers and developers, and learn more about the nonprofits who benefited from their efforts at Knowbility, Inc.

Most of the photographs on our new site were taken by library patron extraordinaire Elena Reid, a member of the Library Advisory Committee and the Friends of Bee Cave Public Library.

Join us on Friday, October 26th for the 20th Anniversary Celebration of the incorporation of Bee Cave and the dedication of our new City Hall in the heart of the Hill Country Galleria. Festivities begin at 3:00 pm with an Open House at City Hall, and culminate with a video perspective on the history of Bee Cave and a fireworks show at the Hill Country Galleria Amphitheater.

Mark your calendars now for the library’s Grand Opening and the City of Bee Cave’s Holiday Open House: Thursday, November 29th. It’s been rumored that Santa Claus will make an appearance, and we will of course be offering our famous “Bee Cookies!”

Coming soon to Bee Cave Public Library… Downloadable Audiobooks! You will soon be able to select from thousands of audiobooks available through NetLibrary and download them to your PC or any device that plays Windows Media files (excludes iPods). At the end of the lending period, the audiobook will simply stop working—nothing to return to the library!

Our popular subscription to “Hot Off the Press” books is growing. We’re now receiving 30 titles each month of the newest fiction and nonfiction for adults, with our titles arriving by the publishers’ release dates.
