About Us

The Bee Cave Public Library was established in 2003 with a small collection of books donated by the community, and opened in its present location in November of 2005 in a leased, modular building adjacent to the (old) City Hall. Since then, our collection has grown to more than 11,000 volumes, and we have added many programs and services to become a full-service municipal library. We were honored to receive an “Achievement of Excellence in Libraries Award” for 2006 from the Texas Municipal Library Directors Association.
In the fall of 2007, the library will move to its permanent location in the new Bee Cave City Hall, located in the heart of the Hill Country Galleria. Our staff is dedicated to providing excellent customer service, as we continue to offer:
- Free library card to any Texas resident
- Free public computers
- Free wireless Internet access
- A growing collection of books, magazines, newspapers
- A variety of formats including audiobooks, large print books, and DVDs
- Programs for children and adults
- Reference services
- Interlibrary Loan
- TexShare Card Program
- TexShare database access
- Special programs for groups (by prior arrangement)
